Critics & Self-doubt

There is nothing more frightening than the moment we expose our ideas to the world. (This is what @casey_johnson82 and I are currently experiencing.)

Why? Critics and self-doubt. How is one to deal with critics and – even tougher – one’s own self-doubt?

Here’s how you don’t do it. You don’t steel-up, shut yourself down or off. You don’t pretend not to care. No, posing takes too much energy – not to mention it’s just fake.

Instead, we must “reserve a seat” for the critics and our own self-doubt. In the words of Brene Brown, “Tell them, I see you, I hear you, but I’m going to do this anyway.” #messylifepodcast
