Good Friday

It’s Good Friday. It was good for everyone, but Jesus. What wild love he displayed! He was whipped. He was beaten. Innocence was murdered for the corrupt – for us. His arms were outstretched and nailed to a cross. He was lifted up and left there to die. Any moment of his choosing, he could have come down, called thousands of angles, said enough! He did not. He knew his mission: he was to be lifted up, to save fallen humanity.

I never get tired of hearing, the late, S.M. Lockridge’s Easter sermon “Sunday’s Coming.” You can hear an excerpt of it below.
