Captivating Communication (part 1)

Over the next few posts, I will be sharing on one of my favorite topics ever, communication.

If you’re going to speak — don’t just communicate — captivate!

One of the easiest ways to do so, is by using a little multimedia. I use videos, pictures, movie clips and/or some other multi-media medium almost every time I speak. I have a whole library of mini-movies, film-shorts, pictures etc. that I have collected over the years. My favorite place to purchase these videos is www.ignitermedia.com  (No, they aren’t paying me to say this — though if a representative is reading this, I’m quite open for any potential profit they’d like to pony-up! LOL!)

One of the things I like about ignitermedia.com is that you can search their media topically. So if you are teaching on a particular topic, you can search it and see what mini-movies they may have to illustrate the point you are making. Here are a few of my favorite videos I’ve gotten via Igniter Media:

  • Nice Rap Battle (Humorous)
  • Sunday’s Coming (Powerful)
  • Free (Moving)
  • That’s My King (Powerful)
  • Cody’s Story (Moving/Motivational)
  • 99 Balloons (Emotional, there won’t be a dry-eye in the place)

On ignitermedia.com you can purchase individual mini-movies for approximately $20 (or less) per film or you can purchase a yearly memberships that gives you unlimited access to their media (currently, $249 – $549). If this seems a little pricy to you, then stay tuned for my next post where I’ll share with you how to access and download thousands of video clips FREE!
